Pick the pitch
Tap one of the six pitches saved for the active pitcher.

CallHome sends the pitch and location one way from the coach's iPhone to the player's Apple Watch—then confirms the call was received.

Choose the active pitcher, select the pitch and location, then send. The player receives only the call, and the coach sees confirmation when it reaches the Watch.

Follow these steps once to connect the coach's iPhone and player Watches, customize the pitching staff, and verify everything before game time.
The two devices do not need to be paired with each other. Each needs network access during use.
Choose anything your team will remember—a team name, a secret word, or any code you want. Set it on the coach's iPhone, then enter the exact same code on each player's Watch.
From the iPhone game screen, tap the gear.

Enter a team name, secret word, or any code you choose.

On the player's Watch, tap its gear.

Open the Watch Connection field to enter the coach's code.

Type it exactly, then tap Done.

Start with sport-specific defaults or rename the pitch buttons. Save up to 10 pitchers and switch the active profile from the game screen.

Use the pregame test from Settings. The coach app sends three test calls, waits for the Watch receipt, and confirms delivery.

The player chooses how to receive the call: see the pitch and location grid on Apple Watch, hear a spoken call through connected AirPods, or feel distinctive Watch haptic feedback. The player, coach, and team can use the method that fits their game.
In-ear audio may be limited to certain positions or prohibited by an event. Confirm AirPod use with the umpire or tournament director before first pitch.

One-way communication rules vary. Little League and current NFHS rules usually limit the receiver to the catcher, while PGF and USSSA rules differ. Device and in-ear audio permissions can also differ, so confirm both the receiver and receiving method with game officials.
